In a recent article, we considered the question, “What does a successful business mean to you?”

  • What’s the business YOU want to be building?

  • And how will YOU define success?

In the post I listed five meaty questions for you to ask yourself to open up your thinking around your business. And then I shared examples of New York-based retailers who are ignoring the way “things have always been done” and writing their own rules.

These stories spoke to me because:

  • Who you know that’s running a similar business of that size?

  • What did they need to do to get and then stay there?

  • What strategies and tactics worked for them?

  • What didn’t work?

  • Are you willing to do the same? Or your version of it?
